Hippy Bus at Pilot truck stop in Brunswick Georgia

 

Did I go through a time warp? Is this 1968 or 2008? I had to get some pictures of this bus. I was talking with Kathy on the phone when they went by. I hung up real quick then followed them around the truck stop till they stopped and let me take a few pictures. I bet they get pulled over alot.

 

I remember some comedian (George Carlin maybe) said The meek shall inherit the earth. No problem we will just push them down and take it back.

Ok maybe its not a Raven. I was feeding these birds some crackers today and they kept landing on my mirror. They would actually take them from my hand. Made a cool piture though.

I found this BBQ joint, next to the Pilot Truck stop off I-95 exit 29 in Brunswick Georgia today. Really cool decor the lady said the wood is over 200 years old. They built it from the boards from an old barn. The food was pretty good but not great. The ribs tasted good, but they were tougher than I like. As a side note, most "award winning ribs" I've tried are tougher than I like. If you like gnawing on the bones this could very well be excellent to you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Over a Quarter of a Million Miles March 16 2008

Sunday afternoon in Brunswick GA . I'm about ready to get some hometime about now, Tomorrow will be 2 full wks since I've seen my Girls, Kathy, Nicole, and Kitty. I missed my wifes 18th annual 29th birthday yesterday (but she'll have another 29th birthday next year)Sorry Darling. I hope to get home by next weekend , I want to see Kris , April and their girls and my and Kathy's moms for Easter. On the good side, I got to see my Niece Chrissy today in Jacksonville Fla. We had breakfast and lunch together, well I had breakfast she had lunch. It was really nice to see her. Kathy told me her mom (Mo) talked with the famous (Infamous?) Dr. Jack Kevorkian at the Royal Oak Public Library. Note to Mo: KEEP YOUR DISTANCE I HEAR HE IS A REAL LADY KILLER. Since March 3rd these have been my travels Troy mi, Wellington OH,Bellvue OH, Highland park MI,Lapeer MI, Romulus MI,Warren MI, Newark Delaware, Elkton Maryland, Orangeburg NY, Oscoda MI,Rogers city MI, Mio MI, St. Clair MI, Taylor MI, Belleville MI, Adel Georgia, Atlanta Georgia.Gulfport Mississippi, Jackson Mississippi, Orlando Florida, Jacksonville Florida then here in Brunswick. 245,896 miles when I left wow thats 5,283 so far and sigh still far from home.

Had a run from Belleville MI to Adel Ga. It was a tough drive from about Findley Ohio to Florence KY. I had to keep moving though because this was just the beginning of the bad weather to come. I guess by the next day it had gotten much worse, Cincinnatti had a foot or so of snow.
