Greetings from Jessup, Maryland

I got my delivery to D.C. done. What a Giant ClusterFock of a place. People drive like they are insane and I'm quite sure that the pedestrians all have death wishes. I hope I never have to drive this truck through there again.Jessup is off I-95 between D.C. and Baltimore. I got a few hours of sleep, a shower and now my blog up-dated. I saw a sign for Franks Diner when I got here. I hope they are open late, cause I'm really sick of fast food. Take care all, I hope to have more entries soon.

My route into and out of St. Petersburg

The Dark Green line is my route out, I came in from I-75 to I-275 (bottom right) then out across the water.

Greetings from Ellenton, Florida

The next few are of I-40 between Nashville and Mempis TN. I thought these purple trees looked great. Im not sure what kind they are but they sure are pretty. The last time I updated I was in El Paso TX from there I got a run to Dayton Ohio then South of Columbus I got one near home. I spent a well needed weekend plus part of Monday at home then back to it. I went to Lansing MI to pick one up going down to West Point Mississippi. I got stuck there waiting a few days for freight that never came through. Friday I started moving back North. I stopped in Nashville for the night, the next morning I got a load from Nashville to Owensboro KY. It was supposed to Pick-up Sunday afternoon and deliver on Monday. Being close to the pick-up I thought I'd see if they would have it ready earlier. I went by they had it ready, 1 huge skid of Newspaper inserts and 2 little ones. The guy put the big 1 in the middle all the way up and the 2 smaller ones behind it next 2 each other like an upside down T. I couldn't get to the bigger one to strap it down, but figured it would be allright only 140 mies or so. I got to the drop Saturday just before they closed and the said they would take it off.(cool 2 days early maybe I'll get out of here today, I thought) Well to my surprise this 2500 pound skid of Lowes circulars had fallen over and I had to restack it all(I put 1 skid onto 8 skids neatly stacked) and they were long gone by the time I was done.(about 2 hours) I wasn't expecting them back until Monday so I checked into the local Motel from Hell.I went to Walmart on Sunday to get some new shoes then back over to the Owensboro Messenger to make my delivery the next morning. I figured although I drove real slow around town I'd better make sure they were still stacked neatly so they would take it off,Of course they wern't. An hour later I had them all stacked neatly again. To my pleasant surprise they had a shift come in at 7pm Sunday and again thay said they would unload it (HOORAY!!). I backed into the dock. Then they advised me that they didn't have floor space for 8 skids and that I needed to restack them onto 2 skids,Then shrinkwrap them. Well it was my choice, restack them again or Kill every one of them mother you know what ers. Not knowing any good lawyers in town I decided to do the former although the thought of the latter made me smile and feel warm and fuzzy inside and helped me through the next 2 hours of restacking those God Damn circulars. The next day(Mon) I got a run to Riviera Beach Florida from Seymour Indiana(about 170 miles to get it.)I delivered it Tuesday morning. Now I got a run to Washington DC picking up tomorrow from St Petersburg FL. So long for now.

I'm sitting here in El Paso Texas. I got a run while sitting in Marysville KS. I had to go to Lincoln Nebraska to get it. It took me here to El Paso, I had a very scenic drive here through Kansas (including Dodge City No pics there it was night and quite a hailstorm), the Oklahoma panhandle a little of Texas alot of New Mexico then a little more of Texas.

El Paso - The mountains are across the border in Mexico
