This was kinda weird

I'm sitting here at the Flying J, about 6 hours ago while playing poker with my window open. This bird almost hits me in the head trying to fly into my window. I jumped and he went on my roof. It scared the crap outta me. I heard him walking around my roof for a few minutes then he slides down my windshield. He stays on my hood for hours. He fell off (slid) once. I went to get a shower and when I came back he was back up on my hood again. I think he is hurt, he doesn't fly too well. I put some left over burrito insides in a cup (beans lettuce tomatoes and some meat) and filled it with water. I have refilled it with water about 5 times already.

I know in poetry birds often imply death, If I don't make it till morning would someone please put out an APB on this bird!

Thank You Del!!

My Hero of the day and my brother always

After a few days of no blower motor working in my truck, I called my brother Delbert. I had tried fuses tracing wiring and direct wiring it, but it still wouldn't come on. I called him because he is a mechanic with well over 30 years experience. I told him the story and that I figured I'd have to buy another blower motor. His advice from probably 35 years of experience was that yeah it probably was the motor since I had directly wired it, and it failed to come on. He then said "Try hitting (well he said tapping but hitting sounds better) it with a hammer." about 3 taps with a pair of channel locks (I didn't have a hammer) later it works just fine again.

So in closing, I am not a mechanic but if your vehicle has issues, I would say sound advice is "Hit it with a hammer and save those costly repair bills!" Unless you are near Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, then visit Del and let him hit it for you!

Thanks again Del!

Washington snow caps

Sno-caps mmmmmmmmmmmmcapeeeeeee

I would have had some more pics of crossing a snow capped Mount Snoqualmie (just east of Seattle) but my camera ran out of juice.

I've been to all 48 of the states now! Maybe Hawaii and Alaska next!

Sorry no updates lately, either I'm not moving well or screaming at my truck. I went out about 2 weeks ago to Missouri. I was on my way to a pick-up back east in Illinois when my fan clutch gave out sending my fan into my radiator and ruining both. 2 days later, after a tow bill and repairs I leave Salem, Illinois $3,200 dollars farther away from being wealthy than I was before. (By the way I am still a pretty good hop skip and a jump away now)

Then I did an Anderson (Great name for a town) Indiana to Owensboro, Ky. Then Bowling Green, Ky-Garland TX. Then Garland, Texas -Tulsa, Oklahoma. On my way to Tulsa, I noticed my temp gauge starting to rise a little. I figured maybe the AC/Trans radiator was restricting the air flow with bugs and grime, I stopped at a car wash and sprayed it out, it seemed to fix it. I got a 1986 mile load out of Oklahoma city, Ok going up to Kent, WA. (Near Seattle).

Well it started running hot again not as bad now but in Wyoming with the hills and a pretty stiff wind in my face it was pretty bad. I stopped in Cheyenne, WY. I tried to buy a thermostat, well my truck takes 2 and they only had 1 of them in stock. I replaced my airfilter too, it is alot better, but when, I get a big hill or over 65 it starts to creep up. Oh yeah now my blower motor quit.

So long for now from Tacoma, Washington
