What a fixer upper!

This house should be saved from the wrecking ball. It is in Alabama, either Dadeville or Alexander City. I was looking for a post office to mail in my paperwork and it caught my eye. I'd bet it was a really nice home at one time.

A Fixer Upper in NC

Sorry for the neglected blog-
Here are a few pics that I have taken recently. I am sitting in Jackson, Mississippi. I am pretty bored. (more pretty but bored just the same)
The only excitement here today has been a crack head looking guy asking for money, a drunk guy asking for money and a girl who spent some "quality time" with the guy a couple of trucks over.
After going like gangbusters (well I didn't knock down hoodlums doors shooting and aresting people, I just drove alot) ok scratch the gangbuster term, it really doesn't apply.
After going like ----well--- alot of driving-- no that's not a good metaphor----After going like.........well...... what's a good metaphor for being busy driving around the country a lot?
Skip the damn metaphor who do I think I am Billy Collins? (actually I have no idea of any info about Billy other than I googled most popular poets and it says he is the most popular poet in America you see I was looking for a poet to finish the "who do I think I am " quote and no funny poets came to me quickly now that I have had more time I think Rudyard Kippling is funnier.)
Let's start again:
Who do I think I am Rudyard Kipling (I googled his name to get the proper spelling and YES he was a poet!).
So I had been driving a lot with little waiting. Now I have been waiting more with not so much driving.
Enjoy the few pics that follow:

This looks like it will be a really nice home in South Carolina. I drove by slowly trying to get a pic but this little tree got in my way. Kind of a neat effect though.

A few pics of a sunset near Effingham, IL

I think a sandwich restaurant in Effingham would be great! It would have to feature the Effingham, sandwich! Stacked with lots of Effing-Ham!

A busy 9 days

I guess I should really say a busy month or two, I have been moving alot! Since last Saturday night, I left home went uo tp Boyne City, MI to pick up a load to Arlington, TX. From Arlington I had a load to Las Vegas, where my tie rod end fell off as I pulled into the receiver. That was quite lucky for it coulda happened in the mountains or the Desert. I had it fixed that afternoon and about the time I was paying, I was booked on a load from Mojave, CA to Just South of St. Louis, MO. Which is where I am still.
