Sitting in Romulus

I'm killing some time in Romulus MI. I've got a midnight pick-up near here going to Madison Heights, about 5 miles from home. I had to put front brake pads and rotors on my truck about $800 bucks, but I am really surprised that the original ones lasted 286,404 miles!! I guess it's because of all the highway driving. Well since I was in Erie last week I got a run going to the middle of Massachusetts. I wish I hadn't taken it. I got there Wednesday morning waited a couple of days, then I started driving home, while dispatch tried to find me some work. I ended up driving all the way back home. I did get to spend a few days there Fri night-Wed morning. Today I took a run from Detroit to Toledo waited half the day, then on my way back home I got this run to Madison heights. Dispatch did offer me a load going back to NY state delivering Thursday, but I figured I'd have to probably drive back empty. I'm going on a family trip this weekend and I wanted to be home by Thursday night. This will probably be the last post for a week or so. The next few pictures are ones my daughter took around our house when I was home. take care all.
