Old Ford Pick-up east of Denver
I believe this was on US 36 heading towards last chance, CO. It's a very small town that Whitaker, MI would dwarf. I usually take backroads in Colorado because the fine folks there like to extort money from me every time I hit the weigh stations there. They usually charge about 60 bucks for a trip permit which only lasts 36 hrs, and if I do not have a return trip scheduled I might need 2 of them. It has something to do with my license plate not being apportioned because my Gross vehicle weight is under 26,000 lbs. From what I understand if I had an apportioned plate I would have to pay a lot of extra fuel taxes in the other 47 states.
